Sewing and quilting have long been family traditions. I was first taught handstitching and then progressed to machine sewing. As I look back, I kept my hands busy while also feeling creative. This is what I love about making things! Since I received so many quilts from my grandmothers and aunts, I focused on other sewing interests for many years. It was in 2001 when I saw a longarm quilting machine for the first time and I had to get my hands on it. The adventure began. I discovered the thrill beyond traditional piecework and quilting while exploring the endless creative options through use of color, fiber, decorative stitchwork and surface embellishment. Every quilt is a unique and personal expression of its creator. I would love to be part of this creative process and assist you in the quilting.
"Tuesday at the Tavern" members who meet every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month at the Warren Tavern in Warrenville. Everyone brings their current projects to share and work on.
I make custom purses, baskets, trivets & coasters by wrapping fabric strips over clothesline referred by some as "coil pottery by machine". They compliment your home decor and are unique gift items. Contact me for design selection and pricing or visit the Marketplace page.
